The Carnegie Museum of Natural History, arguably the oldest natural history museum in the United States, hosts an eclectic collection of exhibits from mammals to jewelry. The brand was extended to include one of Pittsburgh’s favorite landmarks, Dippy the Dinosaur. Dippy, a diplodocus carnegii, was discovered by museum scientists and named after Andrew Carnegie. The well-known symbol was chosen to represent the brand by a number of focus groups and continues to excite and amaze visitors.
